I finished two more blocks on Saturday- Birds in the Air and Homemaker. I just love the white fabric in the Homemaker block. It has canning jars printed on it- just perfect for the homemaker! It's from Red Rooster.
Getting started on sewing the Farmer's Wife blocks. I got three done.
I got fabrics chosen and cut for a couple more, I think I'll just take pics as I finish them.
Alas, can it be...the end of Downton Abbey!? Well all good things come to an end and I've been expecting it, although I didn't want to believe it. To help me cope with this momentous loss, I've formed a support group (ok really there's just two of us). We're sewing this quilt using a free pattern from Andover called Fanfare.
Step #1 on attacking this quilt is to cut out 288 fan pieces.
Ok...that wasn't so bad. Only two days of very focused effort!
I've got my castle print fussy cut-twelve of those blocks...check!
Now I'll be ready to do some actual sewing at our next meeting of the Midwest Area Downton Abbey Support Sisters...yep, we're madass!
