Hello again! This is the card I came up with for the Pony Case-press challenge. The concept is to use the previous card as inspiration for our own card. Here is what Vicki Dutcher posted and I used to inspire me:
I used the idea of the tag and stamped my sentiment onto it. I also used vellum as my waves and kept with the striped background, blue and white, and stitching.
This stamp set is from Our Daily Bread Designs.
Ok, I'm not sure that pumpkins on their own have any particular smell, but I suppose we typically associate them with pumpkin pie and the spices of ginger, cinnamon and nutmeg that would be used in them. In any case this cute sentiment from Eureka inspired a fun project for me using our buttons and bows theme!
I used Smell the Pumpkins to create my tag with some simple stitching and a few buttons added. For the box I started with a pearl finish orange cardstock which has a beautiful bit of shine to it.
I followed this tutorial almost exactly, except for punching the circle where the candle sits-I used what I had that was the right size, which was a Spellbinders scallop circle die. Perfect!
The image I used on the inside is another one by Eureka - Pumpkin Square. What do you think? I love making these sorts of little gifts for friends. Come and join us over on the Eureka blog this week and share your ideas using bows and buttons!

Welcome to another Eureka challenge: this time it's using lace & pearls.
I always think of tea parties when I think of lace and pearls so I had to do a tea theme!
I'm using Eureka's Tea Cup and Tea Time .
I used Copics, Perfect Pearls and a glitter pen to color the teacup.
The cup is open at the top so I can slip in a tea bag.

Quick share today on a simple card I made for Operation Write Home.
Papers and tag are some old Crate Paper stuff I've had in my stash for a few years. I used the Flourished Trim die from Verve and added a Hello stamp to the tag.

I needed a masculine birthday card, so here's what I came up with building around some plaid paper. I used a cuttlebug tag die, trimming the tab off the sentiment oval, distressing and inking a bit, then layering over a slightly darker piece.
After I had this all glued together I realized it needed some stitching on the bottom layer. I was only going to do a border like I had on the plaid piece but my thread got hung up and it ended up sewing wonky so I just decided to go around again in an uneven line. I think it gives it more character anyway and goes with the casual feel of the plaid and burlap.
I made another sympathy card in blues and browns using this Unity stamp set and a sketch from Sketchy Colors:
