I did a set of these in different colors. The green makes me think of mint ice cream and the pink of bubblegum ice cream- which I used to get all the time as a kid!
Ice cream cone and sentiment are from the Honeycomb Happiness set from Stampin Up. I also used some cute sequins from Paper Sweeties.
Welcome back to another challenge for CASE-ing Christmas! This month we've got a card created by Mynn to inspire you:
I love the cute snowman and the drifts of snow, so that's what I chose to inspire my card! I then went back and added some of the same Paper Sweeties sequins in amongst the snowflakes, and edged the snowbank with stickles. The snowflakes are heat embossed with clear powder.
Paper Sweeties is celebrating their third birthday and the gals from the Great Impressions Design Team are joining in with the festivities! You can too! Just hop on over to the blog and see what's going on today. It's a month-long celebration so be sure to check back regularly!
We were asked to create a card using these colors and photo inspiration.
I created three panels for the background with Distress inks: Shabby Shutters, Victorian Velvet and Tumbled Glass. I sprayed them with shimmer spritz, then spattered some diluted white paint over that. The seam binding and sequins are from Paper Sweeties. I used the E773 Whimsical Wish stamp from Great Impressions.
Fab n Funky-no patterned papers
Fantastic Tuesday-make it feminine
Craft Deebowz-anything with a handmade bow
I've got another Great Impressions card to share with you today. This one uses a new release: Blue Skies D504 paired with an older one: Hot Air Balloon F549.
My background is very simple: I just used cardstock with a couple pieces of washi tape. I wanted my scene to really be the focal point. The background was done with twinkling H2Os and the rest was colored with Copics.
These little sequins came from somebody in a card swap and I thought they were the perfect size for the image.
Thank you for stopping by today! If you like to use Great Impressions stamps remember that you can post your creations in the Customer Gallery. You may even win something!
Come and join our CAS challenge this week at Eureka!
Using Eureka's Just a Note and Heart Eighth Notes. Clean and simple is not usually my thing. I started out with the banner I created with both digis-then decided to add just a couple of random sequins-I've never gotten into the sequin trend but thought they would work well on here. I threaded a bead through the center of each just for a bit of contrast.
Just for comparison I thought I'd post my first attempt. I decided I didn't like all the white and I think maybe the scored background made it too busy. What do you think?
