It's the beginning of another term at House of Cards! I've been enjoying my time with this friendly team and looking forward to being inspired by all the talent again during the next six months. Come play along! This month our theme is a color scheme:
I started out by die cutting a bunch of snowflakes from three different shades of blue cardstock, then coated them with a sparkly clear embossing powder. I used a glittery blue embossing powder for my sentiment, and some silver metallic thread to sew on the banner.
The white cardstock base was sprayed with shimmer spritz.
Thanks for stopping by today. I hope to see you play along in our challenge this month!
The theme this week is: Something Old, Something New. I decided to go with an "old" image and try a new technique...a flip card.
This vintage car comes from QKR. I used a mix of papers from a Prima 6x6 pad. I followed this tutorial for the base of my card.
Time for another Eureka challenge, and our theme this week is glitter! I know there are a lot of glitter freaks out there so come play along! I kept my glitter all nice and contained in the form of glitter paper and stickles (I'm not a fan of glitter as a fashion accessory so I don't own any of the loose stuff). I also wanted to do a more clean and simple style so kept my accents to a minimum.
The images I used are from QKR: Party Cow and All it's Worth
What do you think? I just love this little cow, and I'm sure he'll make someone smile!
Welcome back to another Eureka challenge. I've been on hiatus the last two weeks. This is always such a hectic time of year with holiday parties, planning and gift buying and various activities, sometimes we all just need a bit of time to chill and appreciate all the blessings in our lives. I hope each of you have some time this holiday season to reflect on what's important in your life, and I pray that the true meaning of Christmas will bring you joy and peace! Now on with the challenge..."for the birds".
On the front I used QKR's Birdie Told Me and Bird Prints This is the first chance I've had to use this little bird die, he's just perfect to perch on some twine here.
On the inside:
More of the bird tracks along with Walking Birdie from QKR and It's Your Birthday from Eureka. In an effort to help myself out in the future when choosing colors to combine (or duplicating a card) I'm including the markers I used:
Thanks for wandering into my studio for a minute. I hope you'll have some time to play along with our bird theme this week at Eureka. Have a wonderful day!
