Pinspirational Challenge #86 today! A big 'ol bowl full of colorful brads is our inspirational pic for this week.
Our sponsors are Sassy Studio and Scribble and Scrap Shop. I chose to use this poppy image from Scribble and Scrap. Originally I was thinking that I was going to use some fabric covered brads from my stash when I was in the planning stages, but I couldn't find them anywhere! So instead I went over to Pinterest and found a tutorial on making your own using fabric covered button kits from the sewing department. I did mine just a bit differently than the tutorial because I couldn't punch through the metal back piece, but since there are already two small holes from the shank that was removed, I just used a mini brad and it fit through fine-even if it is off center.
I kept my design simple with some crinkle textured paper and a text patterned paper, just adding a bit of inking to the edge and matting everything on black.
