Hello everyone! Time for a new House of Cards challenge, and our theme for March is enamel dots. Personally I have never used enamel dots, and I can not buy them in my local Hobby Lobby or JoAnns so I searched Pinterest for options on making my own.
You may have seen the technique where you melt beads in your oven, and you may have seen the hot glue method, but in my opinion this one is the easiest! I started by squeezing out dots of Glossy Accents onto waxed paper and letting that dry. Then I painted them with nail polish. Once they're dry they peel off the waxed paper super easy and they're ready to glue down onto your project.
These are so quick to make, you can make them any size you like, and just think of all the color options! I like the fact that this option makes relatively flat dots- so they'll go through the mail easily. Great if you're an OWH cardmaker!
I hope this inspired you to try your hand at making your own dots, especially if you have trouble finding them in your area, or just want to save yourself a little money. I can't wait to see what you come up with over on the House of Cards blog- come play along with us!
