This is our third week for the sketch challenge at House of Cards, so perhaps by now you've already seen the sketch:
I wasn't too crazy about this one when I saw it, but I still like how my card came out in the end. Of course having a bird on it always helps.
I thought washi tape would be an easy way to achieve the stripes on the bottom. I used a Fiskars corner punch for my sentiment- which is a Studio G stamp, and then I colored some white pearls with a pink Copic marker to match.
I can't wait to see what you all come up with on this one!
Pinspirational Challenges #96 posted today:
Some fun elements in here to inspire your creativity. I chose to go with a yellow/black color scheme, as well as using black with white dots. I hope you'll join our challenge this week! Our three generous sponsors are:
I'm using an image from Scrapper's Delights for my project called Rainy Days Digi 3. Isn't she the cutest? I've been dabbling a bit with Copic coloring but don't quite feel up to doing an entire image, besides I'm still building my collection. I think this image is a great one to practice with. I started by coloring her skin and hair, then paper piecing the rest.
I did some inking on the background for the clouds then printed my sentiment over it. I used yellow glitter paper from Doodlebug, and Spring Fever Script paper from Fancy Pants-so cute with all sorts of spring words printed on it.
The finished dimensions on this were 8 1/2" square so I framed it to hang in my craft room. I'm so ready for spring!

I haven't played along with the Alley Way challenge in quite some time, so I finally decided to join in on this one. I love the pink/grey combo and also used some buttons.
I used an Alley Way freebie and paper pieced the mittens.
I embossed my sentiment in white.

A quick post to add this to my shop in the tab above. I'm trying to get it updated with the cards I still have here in the studio ready for sale.
I used a chipboard sticker from Crate Paper and added some twine bows which I hand dyed. The cupcake is hand cut from patterned paper, then I added glitter to the candle flame and a bit of shimmer to the lines on the cupcake liner. Some ribbon and lace, and of course I had to do some sewing too!
