It's a sad day for me, as our challenge leader has decided to close CASE-ing Christmas. I feel like I just started! We do hope you'll come hop along with us one more time, and say goodbye to this wonderful team!
I decided to try a shaker card. I started out by stamping the sentiment, then used a circle to die cut the center. For the shaker part, I sewed a little pocket out of plastic I cut from a page protecter, then filled it with some Flower Soft and a few tiny sequins. Under that I layered some white embossed snowflakes stamped on navy paper. I cut into some of my new papers I got on a shopping trip recently with my card making friends. Some twine tied around the top and a snowflake charm finishes it off. Thanks so much for stopping by!
Good day hoppers! If you're here for the House of Cards December hop you're right on track. You should have come from Em's blog. If you need the complete list just hop on back to House of Cards.
Looking at the picture, I was immediately inspired by the pinks and ribbon in the photo.
My first card uses a Deedee's Digis set: Winter Church. I used the precolored image (love these for when I don't feel like coloring!) and one of the papers that comes with the set. I used one of the sentiments on the inside.
For my next card I was intrigued by the interesting design on the tag, as well as the brown. I'm using Great Impressions stamps: Lace Doily J101 and Vintage Merry Christmas D469
Just a quick note that Great Impressions is having a sale, so now would be a great time to stop by and check out the store! Next up on the hop is Heather!
Paper Sweeties is celebrating their third birthday and the gals from the Great Impressions Design Team are joining in with the festivities! You can too! Just hop on over to the blog and see what's going on today. It's a month-long celebration so be sure to check back regularly!
We were asked to create a card using these colors and photo inspiration.
I created three panels for the background with Distress inks: Shabby Shutters, Victorian Velvet and Tumbled Glass. I sprayed them with shimmer spritz, then spattered some diluted white paint over that. The seam binding and sequins are from Paper Sweeties. I used the E773 Whimsical Wish stamp from Great Impressions.

I've got two cards to share with you today. My first one uses a Stamplorations set called Eclectic Florals. I colored some water in the jar with watercolors and added glossy accents over the top. I fussy cut the flowers and popped them up on foam dots. My sentiment came from a Paper Sweeties stamp set called Live Love Grow. Robin Egg baker's twine also from Paper Sweeties. I used a digital patterned paper for my background from Eclectic Anthology- from the Robin's Egg set.
This next one is my first attempt at a pop-up card. When I saw the Sweeties Stand at Paper Sweeties I knew I wanted use it to create a flower shop. The front uses Eclectic Anthology paper-Robin's Egg set. Robin Egg seam binding from Paper Sweeties. The sentiment was cut from a patterned paper by Pebbles. The flowers were made with Tim Holtz Tattered Flower Garland die.
The card base is made using Sizzix Pop 'n Cuts die. For anyone who wants to know about using it in a Cuttlebug- check out this post.
Paper Sweeties products used: Live Love Grow, Emma, I'm Having a Tea Party, Sweeties Stand, Robin Egg Seam Binding, Robin Egg Bakers Twine. Eclectic Anthology papers used: Robin's Egg, Sublime Lime. Stamplorations set used: Eclectic Florals.
*Note about the Paper Sweeties stand: it's the perfect size for the Pop 'n Cuts card-when folded flat it's about 1/2-inch from the card end.
Now get to hoppin'! Your next stop is Tammy!
