I recently bought the Pop 'n Cuts die from Sizzix hoping that I could use it with my Cuttlebug. It took a bit of experimentation, but here's how I got it to work:
The final cut dimensions of the card are 4 1/4 x 11 inches so I recommend starting with 12x12 paper so that you don't have to line up the ends perfectly. I cut the width of my paper to 5 inches- this doesn't have to be exact, it just has to fit through the width of your Cuttlebug. Now tape it to the die-this is important because you'll be moving the cutting plate and don't want your paper to move.
The cutting plate covers about half of the die so we'll have to run it through the machine twice. Here are my layers: Die with the paper taped on top, C plate, cardboard shims (I used cereal boxes for this-3 layered up was just right for my machine). Now you're ready to run it through!
This is what I had after my first cut- about half of the die cut out. Remember not to move your paper as you take off the cutting plate. Now just layer up your C plate and shims on the other end and run it through again.
...and there you have it!
It may be a bit more work than having the proper machine, but it can be done!
Masculine cards are the theme this week at Eureka Stamps challenge.
I'm using Fishing Bear and Drop you a Line on the inside.
Colored with Copics, a bit of sewing, a large eyelet with ribbon tab, and voila....done!
I left some space below the greeting for a handwritten note as well.
Come play along with us this week at Eureka with any masculine or grungy card!

This weeks theme at Eureka is birthday so I thought this beautiful stamp was perfect. What better birthday to celebrate?
I used Eureka's Bethlehem with Verse. There's a bit of gold embossing added to the star and some random dots. Stitching around the edges is also in gold. Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you'll join in our birthday theme this week!
Quick post today with another Eureka challenge card.
This week's theme is "up in the air"
I used It Got Away Boy, Up, Up and Away and Oval Balloon from Eureka. I'm not too fond of all the white space on the side but I couldn't figure out what to change. It may have worked out better if I did a horizontal card but then I didn't have enough height for the balloon over his head. Oh well...it is what it is.
I used a mix of paper piecing, Copics and glossy accents on the balloon.
ABC Challenge: K (keep it clean & simple)
Dream Factory: gone with the wind (literal interpretation)
Addicted to CAS: off the edge
Di's Digi Designs: use your markers
Little Claire's: spots & stripes
Crazy 4 Challenges: bingo (sentiment, fiber, stripes)
Happy May everyone...spring is officially here! This past week has been cloudy and rainy every single day, but everything is starting to green up so I'm not complaining! Here's our inspiration for the new House of Cards challenge:
I wasn't too sure about these colors, but once I took out the purple it was much easier to work with. I'm using a Unity stamp called Lizzie Girl, along with a computer generated sentiment.
I did a combination of paper piecing and Copic coloring. The music notes are a wooden accent that I just rubbed over a black ink pad to color, then added a bit of Stickles to.
I'm trying to improve my CAS skills a bit...
Thanks for stopping by! Have a lovely day, and keep singing!

The theme for this week's Eureka challenge is Mother's Day flowers...come play along!
I folded the ends of my banner under and used foam under the middle for dimension. I'm looking at these pictures now thinking I may go back and add pearls to the centers of the flowers.
